Main Contractor for Blocks E&I re-roof project at Taupo-nui-a Tia College

The Ministry is seeking a suitably qualified Contractor to complete a re-roof project on Blocks E&I at Taupo-nui-a Tia College.

Block E is a straightforward roof re-clad, removing the existing low-pitch membrane roofing and altering high-level louvres over the E1-E4 classrooms, Awhina room and staff resource area, then installing new Viking Enviroclad TPO membrane roofing on new plywood substrate and packer purlins, with ceiling patch/repair and repainting to follow.

Block I is a more involved job around the canteen, involving demolition of the existing metal and membrane roofing and skylights, construction of new trusses at a revised pitch, installation of new Dimond Styleline Colorsteel Maxam roofing and TPO membrane roofing, along with a new two-way 60-minute fire-rated wall, relocation of the HVAC unit, and reinstated HardieGlaze ceiling linings. Both are compact, existing-building re-roof projects rather than new builds, with the timber and roofing trades doing the bulk of the work supported by minor mechanical, fire, and ceiling-lining work..
