Main building Contractor for Devon Intermediate: Roofing, fire alarm upgrade and interior refurbishment

Weathertightness remediation work required to roofs and exterior envelopes on B Block, A Block, N Block and C,D,& E Blocks.
Whilst this work is being undertaken and classrooms are out of use, the opportunity is being utilised to complete an interior upgrade and fire alarm upgrade simultaneously.

A Block
- Replace low level membrane roof, remove skylights and re-pitch to enable new ventilated metal roofing to be installed.
- Replace translucent Roofing to student entry on North side with new trafficable translucent roofing.

B Block
- Remove all skylights and redundant extracts from main roof and install new warm roof membrane over.
- Pitch up lower membrane roof to enable new ventilated metal roofing to be installed. High level windows to be removed and infilled.
- Fire alarm upgrade

C, D & E Blocks
- Remove skylights in lower membrane roof. Re-pitch lower level roofs to enable new ventilated metal roofing to be installed. Partial removal of clerestory windows required.
- Exterior remedial work to classroom windows and doors in C Block only.
- Interior classroom upgrades
- Fire alarm upgrade

F Block – Fire alarm upgrade

N Block – like for like replacement of metal roofing
