Marton Swim Centre Structural Remediation

Rangitīkei District Council (RDC) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Main Contractor to:
• Remove the main pool hall roof, including the roof cladding and primary and secondary timber subframe.
• Remove the existing HVAC Plant room
• Install a new ETFE roof and steel subframe
• Replace the existing HVAC system to main pool and teaching pool
• Replace and upgrade the lighting to the main pool only
• Provide a new Type 4 fire safety system throughout the whole facility, including the gymnasium
• Seismically strengthen both the main 50m pool hall and teaching pool only

This is a key community project, where an existing asset has been closed due to safety concerns. The community is keen to be able to use this asset again.
The project requires a main contractor who can deliver to a fixed budget and a timeline that allows the community to use the upgraded facility before the next swim season (September 2026).
This is an opportunity for a main contractor of any tier to showcase their abilities, strengths and expertise in delivering a project of this scope and scale.
