Māori Health Authority - Te Aka Whai Ora

Mental Wellbeing and Resilience Programme - Rainbow Communities

Te Aka Whai Ora is inviting suitably qualified providers to submit a Registration of Interest (ROI) to deliver mental wellbeing and resilience programmes specifically designed for rainbow youth communities. The aim of the programme is to deliver relevant information, resources, promotional campaigns, and digital platforms to support local rainbow communities to increase access to help seeking services, reduce stigma and discrimination, and promote mental health and wellbeing. By focusing on mental health promotion and resiliency, the programme envisions empowering rainbow youth communities to be accepted and lead fulfilling lives.

Te Aka Whai Ora intends to invest $1.36 million per annum towards new mental wellbeing and resilience services across Aotearoa from 1 January 2024 – 30 June 2025. The services will deliver community-led initiatives in partnership with education and social service providers, local communities, and family/whānau members. The services will cover all-of-population rainbow communities, with a priority focus on Māori, young people and Pacific rainbow communities.
