Motutapu Power Replacement

The Director-General of the Department of Conservation (the Department) is seeking Registrations of Interest (Responses) from suppliers with capacity and capability to provide the Motutapu Power Replacement .
The Department seek to shortlist three suppliers for consumption-based power supply on Motutapu Island, which includes the following tasks:
• Installation of a hybrid system (solar + BESS) to provide electrical energy to Motutapu Island.
• The Supplier shall provide under a power purchase agreement the design, procurement, installation and maintenance during the whole generation system life of the of the hybrid system (Solar + BESS) to provide 100% of electrical energy required to power the Motutapu Island.
• Generation system must account for the lifespan of equipment degradation as well as generation unavailability due to operation and management activities to ensure sufficient capacity will be “always” available to power up facility loads.
