Mouse Ecology Monitoring and eDNA Diet Study, Hakatere Conservation Park

DOC aims to assess the impact of mouse management on skink (lizard) populations; and explore the ecological dynamics influencing predation pressure, prey selection, and potential prey switching. This study will take place within the Hakatere Conservation Park which contain abundant common lizard species as well as Critically Endangered species.

As part of this study, DOC needs a contractor who is specialised in rodent trapping, monitoring and handling eDNA sampling of digestive tract contents of mice and have skills in complex data handling and recording.
