NCC Discharge Wharf - Deconstruction

The Discharge Wharf is a public facility owned and managed by Napier City Council. The primary function was the mooring of fishing vessels during loading and unloading operations, as well as overnight berthing. The Wharf was also fully open to the public and used for leisure activities such as fishing.
A structural survey undertaken by consultants has identified significant deterioration and a partial local collapse of the deck. The facility was subsequently closed to the public by the Napier City Council (NCC)
