Nelson City Council - Large-scale Native Forest Restoration - RFP - 05 Feb 2026

This Contract provides for the delivery of large-scale ecological restoration works across (~120-250ha per annum). The purpose of the works is to facilitate the transition from degraded or modified land cover to resilient indigenous forest ecosystems through a managed succession approach, using planting, post-planting aftercare, weed control, and targeted animal pest management to accelerate progression toward self-sustaining native forest systems.
