The main objective of the public realm development contract works is to improve road user safety, pedestrian safety, road and section stormwater capture and control and improve the general aesthetics of the immediate area; thereby lifting the esteem of the local residents.
Proposed works include construction of raised platform on various intersections in the Opotiki town centre. The contract works includes traffic management, earth works, drainage and concrete works for kerb and channels, pavement and resurfacing with concrete pavers, land scaping and reinstatement for completion of all works.
