Ōpōtiki District Council [ODC] is inviting tenders for the construction of a Extension of existing leisure jetty alongside main wharf structure on the convergence of the Otara and Waioweka Rivers.
The timeframe for construction is over the 2025-2026 summer period.
The scope of works includes, but is not limited to:
a) Geotechnical ground improvements beneath the new wharf jetty extension
b) Construction of the timber piling and decking structure utilising Land crane, Sheet piling and dewatering (or alternative methodology) to enable construction of the new wharf jetty extension.
c) Stream bank riprap construction adjoining the new wharf jetty extension.
d) Supply and installation of Timber Piles and SS316 Fixings
e) Supply and installation of wharf jetty extension ancillaries; screens, hand railing, grating and frames etc
f) Earthworks associated with:
a. Excavation and filling for the wharf jetty extension
b. Rip Rap erosion protection installation
c. Marine Piling
d. Riverbank Erosion Rip Rap installations
e. Reno Mattress steps down into the river
g) Decommissioning any part of the existing wharf jetty extension infrastructure and making right of the riverbank
h) Commissioning of the wharf jetty extension
