Okaihau Primary School - Block 7: External Refurbishment

The work is an external refurbishment of Block 7 at Okaihau Primary School, which includes:

Demolishing and safely removing the fibre cement wall cladding, which contains asbestos (ACM), and the old window joinery
New cladding over a cavity system, with any damaged timber framing replaced
New double-glazed aluminium windows and doors throughout
New roof flashings, barge flashings and fascia/barge boards
A new timber deck (piles, joists, bearers, stairs, balustrade and handrails) with Ecoglo markers, plus carpet to the deck area
An upgraded access ramp to the block
A replacement heat pump on a new concrete plinth
A new Type 4 fire alarm with exit signage
Associated external works

All disruptive, asbestos removal and high-risk works must be completed during the Christmas school holidays.
