Oral Health Pain Relief Services

Health New Zealand Hauora Māori Service seeks provision of a six-month trial of Oral Health Relief of Pain Service using fixed and mobile clinics to provide urgent dental care for acute pain and infection to high-need, underserved groups, with a focus on Māori communities in the Hawke’s Bay region.

This initiative will provide immediate pain relief for patients with severe toothache, abscesses, or oral infections. It will prevent escalation to hospital admissions or repeated ED/GP visits, and bridge access gaps for those unable to afford or reach routine dental care.
