Thames-Coromandel District Council

Organic Waste Processing Feasibility Study - Whitianga

This RFP is issued by the Thames Coromandel District Council referred to below as “the Buyer” “Council” or “we” or “us”.
The Buyer recently received approval for funding to complete a feasibility study for local organic waste processing facilities from the Waste Minimisation Fund – Te Pūtea Whakamauru Para.
The Buyer wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced consultant who will complete the feasibility study on behalf of Thames Coromandel District Council. The initial engagement will be for stage one only, which is a high-level feasibility study and stage two will occur only if council decides to proceed to that stage. The high-level feasibility study for local organic waste processing facilities will need to consider locating the organic waste processing facility at the new Whitianga waste transfer station in Mercury Bay and/or other locations within and outside the district.
