PECCS - Prisoner Escort and Courtroom Custodial Services

The Department of Corrections (the Department) is tendering for a contract for the supply of Prisoner Escort and Courtroom Custodial Services (PECCS).
It offers a long-term contract and gives the opportunity to place the required products and services across our prison sites in Auckland and Northern Region in New Zealand.

This Call for Register of Interest (ROI) invites all suppliers from the market to submit their responses, as required for the tender process.

A question of timing
The Department is aware of the damaging effects of recent weather events in New Zealand, specifically flooding in Auckland and Northland regions, and also as a result of Cyclone Gabrielle. These events, and the subsequent ‘clean-up efforts’ will be a notable focus for many.
To ensure that the Department is being fair and reasonable to Respondents, we are seeking your initial feedback, via reply in GETS on whether you will be able to respond by the proposed Registration of Interest date, being 12 o’clock midday, on 20 April 2023, or if that date is problematic.
The Department will take any feedback into consideration and provide an update, via GETS on the proposed timeline.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a major New Zealand PECCS services distribution initiative across all prison sites in Auckland and Northern Region. By supplying PECCS services, you will contribute to the Department’s goal of helping people to have a safe and dignified transport from and to Prison and Court sites as well as during their attendance in the courtrooms.
