Parking App Solutions

The University of Canterbury (UC) is seeking a comprehensive parking and parking enforcement solution that will modernise the management of its 3,600 parking spaces across campus. The solution must support flexible, user-friendly payment options and automated enforcement mechanisms while integrating seamlessly with UC’s existing infrastructure and digital systems. UC is looking for a new cloud-based SaaS parking solution and is seeking proposals from experienced qualified suppliers with excellent track record who are able to deliver, implement and support parking and parking enforcement solutions.

The key requirements of the solution include:
• Parking management and enforcement capabilities using Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) technology.
• Flexible payment options through an online portal or mobile app that is PCI-DSS 4.0 compliant, enabling payments via credit/debit cards and mobile transactions.
• Integration with UC’s existing pay-by-plate parking meters and the ability to link permit information with enforcement modules.
• Provide AP I for integration with existing UC solutions
• Scalability to support growing demand and evolving technology requirements.
• Boosts the user experience by providing fluid and uninterrupted interactions.
• User accessibility features, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 standards and support for Māori language inputs.
• Compliance with New Zealand regulatory and security standards, including data sovereignty and privacy requirements under the NZ Privacy Act 2020.
