Pookeno Sports Park Destination Playground & Amenities

Waikato District Council is seeking an experienced supplier to construct the Pookeno Sports Park Destination Playground. Council invites tenders from experienced playground contractors to deliver a fully inclusive, all-ages destination playground at Pookeno Sports Park, incorporating cultural narrative, accessible play, and a comprehensive range of play experiences for the wider northern Waikato and southern Auckland catchment.
Council requires a single point of accountability for the full scope of works including liaison and coordination and installation of all playground equipment, civil works, landscaping works, safety surfacing, and services within the playground footprint. All consenting and/ or exemption requirements, quality assurance, and health and safety obligations are to be met by the supplier throughout the duration of the contract. The Destination Playground design has been completed, and certain long-lead playground equipment items have been contracted.
