Procurement plan - Bulk water filling stations

The Principal proposes to enter into a Measure and Value Contract for the Construction of
the Contract Works. The conditions of Contract for the Contract Works are NZS3910:2013
- Conditions of Contract for Building and Civil Engineering Construction ("General
Conditions"), together with the Special Conditions of Contract comprising the Specific
Conditions of Contract and the amendments to the General Conditions (“Special
Conditions of Contract”) and all other schedules comprising the Contract ("Contract").
Unless otherwise specified in these Tender Documents, expressions used in these Tender
Documents which do not have their meaning defined in these Tender Documents have the
meaning given to them in the General Conditions.
2.3 Description of Contract
For the purpose of evaluating Alternative Tenders this Section shall be read as the scope.
This Contract is for the installation of three bulk water filling stations in Twizel, Fairlie and
Takapo.
2.4 Key Project Risks
The project risks identified fall into the following categories:
General Project Risks
• Unforeseen services and physical conditions
• Groundwater and geotechnical conditions
• Damage to trees
Health & Safety Risks
• Working near State Highway and on local roads
• Working underground
• Unforeseen services
• Working in trenches
• Sanitation of water supply network
• Overhead power lines
This Contract has been assessed as having a Standard Health and Safety Risk.
Note: these lists are not exhaustive and has been provided in good faith to assist with the
site specific safety plan and tender submission documenting the proposed construction
methodology (including proposed methods the Contractor will employ to manage these
risks); the Contractor is responsible for identifying and managing any additional hazards.
