Wellington City Council (WCC) seeks to transition its ICT networks by implementing zero trust principles as widely as possible. Its networks have grown organically over many years and WCC wants to use the transition as an opportunity to standardize and rationalize the networks. Through this work WCC wants to enhance its security and improve the user experience.
WCC is building its internal capability to design, implement and manage its networks. A key internal capability will be to manage the zero trust tools and policies. We are interested in understanding the market of potential partner vendors to work with us to complement our evolving capabilities and resourcing in one or more of the following areas:
• Supply and support zero trust tools,
• Supply, configuration, install and manage network equipment,
• Provide and manage network connectivity to sites and people for data and voice services,
• Implement and support in-building physical networking, and
• Provide specialist networking skills or team back-fill as needed.
Through the responses to this RFI, WCC seeks to facilitate understanding the size and capabilities of the market, inform our approach, requirements and potential budgetary decisions.
