RFP - Supply of Commercial Smart Meters

As part of our ongoing commitment to water efficiency, Watercare is expanding the rollout of smart meters to both residential and commercial customers. Our aim is to reach as many customers as possible to help them better understand and manage their water use. Since 2022, we’ve installed more than 90,000 smart meters—making this one of the largest deployments of its kind in Australasia.

As part of our rollout to commercial customers Watercare is seeking Participants capable of delivering approximately 900 large diameter meters that range from 50mm to 300mm that are either Ultrasonic or Electromagnetic (Solid State Electronic flow meters) with built in datalogging capability that communicates over the Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT), Cat M1or LTE low-power wide-area networks (LPWAN cellular) over the next 2 years.
