RFP for Service Supply of Portable Gensets for Refrigerated Containers

This RFP seeks to select a supplier(s) for the provision of Portable Generator Sets (Gensets) for intermodal use on rail wagons to provide power for refrigerated containers, under one of the following options:

Option 1 – Purchase with Long-Term (LT) Maintenance: Supply of Gensets to KiwiRail, with KiwiRail to own and asset-finance the units. The supplier will enter into a long-term maintenance agreement to ensure the Gensets remain fully operational and compliant over their service life.

Option 2 – Fully Maintained Lease: Provision of Gensets under a long-term lease arrangement, with the supplier retaining ownership of the Gensets and providing all maintenance, servicing, and compliance requirements for the duration of the lease.
