RFT 25-081 Melrose Ave Open Channel Upgrade - Stage 1

This contract is for the upgrading of the open stormwater channel (+/- 150 meters), located between Basley Road and Melrose Avenue, Rotorua. Currently this open stormwater channel is lined with timber and other materials, which will all need to be removed and then relined with concrete or new timber, as per the Specifications and Drawings.
The works include:
1. Demolition of the existing drainage channel walls and associated fences
2. Re-edging/trenching of the drain and the disposal of Cut to Waste Material
3. Removal of trees, stumps and smaller vegetation
4. Construction of a concrete lined open channel
5. Construction of a timber pole retaining wall channel with a concrete lined base
6. Construction of replacement fences and barriers
7.Reinstatement of private gardens, decking, hardstanding, structures and landscape areas

Noting the holiday period, this RFT will run for an extended period, until the 30th of January 2026. Rotorua Lakes Council has decided to release this RFT pre-Xmas so to give contractors timely notification of this RFT and to afford tenderers a generous amount of time to submit a tender.
