During the preparation of a Ten Year Property Plan, the associated specialist reports that were produced identified a number of roofing improvements to various buildings across the school, including roof coverings, flashings and spouting renewal.
Non trafficable roof sheets are also to be removed and replaced with an appropriate trafficable and heavy duty translucent roofing product. In some areas timber cladding will require removal and reinstatement to allow for the installation of new apron flashings.
Two skylights in Block B are deemed to be non trafficable and require removal and replacement with trafficable alternatives. The existing roof mounted heat pumps on Block B are to be removed and relocated to the ground, heavy duty protective cages will be required.
The targeted spouting and fixing replacement on Blocks D and O are to be priced separately to the rest of the school as this work is planned on buildings owned by the Board and community.
