RFT - Mechanical Heating Contractor for Block A - Mechanical Heating Replacement at Hutt Intermediate School, Lower Hutt

The current gas fired/warm air heating system to the more modern classroom wings is aging but more importantly provides teachers with little environmental control of their individual spaces with most experiencing significant heat gain in summer.

It is proposed to decommission the centralised heating and provide the teaching spaces with either gas fired space heaters or heat pumps depending on the capacity of the associated infrastructure.

The project will incorporate the removal of the existing boilers and ducting and also the provision of metal protective cages to the heat pump outdoor units.
