Support services are being procured to assist Māori organisations participating in future funding opportunities from July 2023. Examples of the kind of support we anticipate being provided include wānanga to support Kaitono with preparing proposals, a pool of consultant research mentors who funded organisations can contract with directly after they are funded, and/or an externally facing Programme Coordinator who will organise regional wananga to share learning or build connectedness across the RS&I ecosystem.
The provider will provide support services to Māori organisations including businesses, incorporations, rūnanga, trusts, iwi, hapū, and marae. The provider will support Kaitono to prepare their applications and navigate the relevant MBIE systems so they are well-placed to apply for funding. The successful provider will work closely with MBIE staff to ensure the services they deliver align closely to the requirements of the relevant funding processes.
Given the focus of the services, providers must show how they partner and/or will partner with Māori organisations to provide support services. Providers with strong connections with Māori organisations and communities are encouraged to engage in this tender.
