ROI Electronic Access Control System [EAC]

This procurement is for Respondents to assist Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children in the implementation and support of its Electronic Access Control systems (henceforth referred to as “the EAC solution”) for Youth Justice as well as Care & Protection Residences. The same solution may be leveraged for other Oranga Tamariki office sites/work environments.
Oranga Tamariki currently operates secure Care and Protection residences and Youth Justice residences at nine physical locations in New Zealand both in the North and South islands and around the major cities. These will be henceforth collectively referred to as Residences in this document.
The EAC solution is to ensure the health, safety, and security of both the rangatahi in the Residences as well as kaimahi who work there. The scope of the overall EAC solution will encompass Access Controller hardware and software, telecommunications network, monitoring, design approach, installation, and ongoing support. The intent is that a fit-for-purpose EAC solution will support the safe and effective operating of the Residences.
