The scope of works includes the complete life-cycle replacement of four WCs, two urinals, five basins, two showers, all tapware, cubicle partitions, wall linings, and flooring. This will involve the supply and installation of all new fixtures, fittings, hot water supply and associated plumbing. The two existing showers, which contain asbestos in their linings, will be removed, and these areas will be converted into additional WCs to accommodate Music and Drama students as the students currently use toilets that are shared with visitors. The addition conversion of the showers into new WCs will require Building Consent, this will trigger a requirement to upgrade the fire protection systems in the Block.
