Reducing Demand for Methamphetamine Programme: Peer Support Recovery/Mutual Aid

This opportunity is for the delivery of a Peer Support Recovery service that provides community-led, peer-driven initiatives that foster connection, mutual learning, resilience and recovery for people affected by methamphetamine harm. It provides purposeful peer support services, grounded in lived experience, mutuality, and kaupapa Māori / Te Tiriti principles, creating safe and inclusive spaces where individuals and whānau can share experiences, build hope, and sustain recovery through authentic relationships grounded in lived experience.

The outcomes we want to achieve are:
• Reduce experiences of AOD-related harm and levels of problematic substance use to support sustainable recovery.
• Provide culturally safe, responsive, and equitable services.
• Support tāngata whaiora to better understand and manage their health and wellbeing.
• Reduce the stigma associated with AOD related harm.

We estimate the value of this contract to be up to $80,000 per annum with the initial term ending on 30 June 2029. The estimated value represents the total value of the contract over the full potential contract term, including extensions.
