Ahipara School requires an upgrade of the water supply.
i. Upgrade the school's roofwater harvesting system, including cleaning roofs, modifying downpipes, installing new underground collection manifolds, leaf screens, first-flush diverters, overflow systems, and reconnecting roof catchments to new storage tanks.
ii. Supply and install a new water storage system, including multiple new 25,000 L raw water tanks, a 15,000 L treated water tank, all interconnecting pipework, valves, level monitoring, foundations, and associated fittings.
iii. Construct and fit out a new water treatment plant shed, relocate existing equipment into it, install filtration, UV treatment, pumps, controls, flow meters, electrical services, and associated instrumentation.
iv. Undertake all associated civil works, including excavation, engineered tank foundations, geogrid installation, trenching, site surveys, relocation of bore water infrastructure, and reinstatement of disturbed areas.
v. Decommission and replace existing water infrastructure, including removing redundant tanks, disconnecting obsolete pipework, demolishing the existing treatment shed, and connecting the new system to the school's potable and non-potable distribution networks.
vi. Complete commissioning and handover, including testing and disinfecting the system, providing as-built documentation, operation and maintenance manuals, commissioning reports, operator training, warranties, critical spares, and certification.
Timeframes for the Contract Works are:
i. Indicative start date: 12/12/2026
ii. Indicative Due Date for Completion: 31/03/2027
iii. Limitations: Works to be completed during school holidays where they affect the schools potable water supply
