Rocky Point and Ngauranga Interconnection valve chamber seismic upgrade - RFT

This RFT is an invitation to Tenderers to submit a tender to the Principal for the Rocky Point and Ngauranga Interconnection valve chamber seismic upgrade.

The Contract Works the subject of this RFT is the installation of seismically resilient pipe connections to the Rocky Point and Ngauranga Interconnection valve chambers on the Wainuiomata to Wellington pipeline. Installation of seismic couplers on both sides of the valve chambers are needed to absorb differential movements, increasing resilience of the water supply network.
The Rocky Point valve chamber site is located on the berm of State Highway 2 (SH2) about 750m southwest on the Wellington side of the intersection of SH2 and Horokiwi Road, and the Ngauranga Interconnection valve chamber site is located on the berm on the ocean side of the SH2 northbound on ramp at the Hutt Valley interchange, diagonally opposite the intersection with Jarden Mile.
