SH1 Rolleston Access Improvements - PW

This is a Physical Works contract for the construction of an bridge over SH1; realignment and/or widening of SH1, Rolleston Dr, Kidman St, Jones Rd, and Hoskyns Rd carriageways; KiwiRail yard access off George Holmes Rd and station carpark extension adjacent to SH1; Left in/Left out on SH1 at Rolleston Dr south; upgrade of the existing rail level crossing on Hoskyns Rd.

The Contract Works comprise of:

site clearance;
earthworks;
pavement and surfacing;
structures including bridge, retaining walls, foundations;
drainage including stormwater basins;
signage and marking;
traffic signals and ITS;
street lighting;
road safety barriers;
landscaping;
rail level crossing;
utilities relocation/protection;
cycle and pedestrian facilities.

Required Pre-qualification: Only tenderers prequalified to levels 2B (Surfacing), 3A (Bridge & Structure Construction) and 4A (Construction) under the terms of NZTA’s Prequalification System and ‘Civil’ and ‘Track’ under the KiwiRail Prequalified Contractors Panel for Physical Works are eligible to submit a tender.

Compulsory Meetings: A compulsory tender inception meeting will be scheduled for the week of 23 March 2026 and Compulsory interactive tendering meetings will be scheduled for the week of 30 March 2026. Tenderers wishing to submit a tender may only do so if a representative of the tenderer’s organisation has attended these meetings.

ALL tenderer’s queries are to be SUBMITTED through the GETS Questions and Answers.

All responses to tender queries/clarifications will be answered by Notice to Tenderer which will be available in the GETS addenda.

Tender submissions shall be uploaded to GETS eTender box in two separate files.

The GETS file upload limit is 50MB. The files should be labelled:

Supplier Company Name - File No 1 - 13734 - Proposal excluding Price
Supplier Company Name - File No 2 - 13734 - Price (pdf format PLUS excel spreadsheet Schedule of Prices)
