Sexual Harm Crisis Support services stand as a lifeline for survivors, offering not only immediate safety and care but also a pathway to long-term healing.
What we need
Oranga Tamariki is now seeking proposals for the delivery of Sexual Harm Crisis Support Services in South Auckland until 30 June 2027.
This initiative is intended to support organisations to deliver age-appropriate sexual harm crisis support services for tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau.
Sexual Harm is a descriptor for sexual behaviours that are engaged in without consent. The Sexual Harm Crisis Support Service is for tamariki and rangatahi who are survivors of sexual harm (and their whānau). ‘Crisis’ is not defined by the actual event rather by the response of the tamariki to that event. This can happen immediately after the event or be triggered at multiple points beyond the event.
Oranga Tamariki is seeking to contract specialist provider(s) to deliver psycho-social crisis support services which take a trauma-informed, child-centred approach.
