We are seeking providers who can deliver a peer-led day service, 7 days a week, located within Invercargill, that is grounded in the values, principles and objectives within the Southern Day Programmes Model of Care, particularly ensuring the services are accessible and supportive for all cultures, particularly Māori who experience higher rates of inequality. The service is required to respond to the needs of the Invercargill community, and to have working relationships with other services and supports in Southland – working together as one system.
The successful provider will deliver on the following areas:
* a commitment to honouring Te Tiriti and ensuring services are supportive and accessible for Māori.
* an equitable service based on the equity section outlined in the Southern Day Programmes Model of Care (page 9, - 11)
* Services that respond to the needs of the Murihiku Southland community
* Community Engagement – The service is accessible to the community it serves.
* Workforce Development – Tāngata whaiora envision a future with opportunities for growth and pathways into peer support roles.
* Peer and Recovery Focus – tāngata whaiora live well in the presence or absence of mental health, addiction & substance use challenges
