Speech to Text Solution

The Ministry of Justice is seeking Registrations of Interest from suppliers capable of delivering an end-to-end Speech to Text (StT) Solution to support court and judicial transcription workflows across New Zealand. The procurement is intended to identify suppliers with the capability, experience and capacity to deliver a solution suitable for complex, sensitive and regulated environments.

This open Registration of Interest (ROI) is the first stage of a multi-stage procurement process. Shortlisted Respondents may be invited to participate in a subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) stage.
The full sourcing timeline is detailed within the ROI, with the following key dates (all New Zealand time):

ROI released: 18 May 2026
Respondent Briefing: 11am, 25 May 2026 (NZST)
Deadline for Questions: 5pm, 12 June 2026 (NZST)
Deadline for Registrations: 3pm, 17 June 2026 (NZST)

Suppliers are encouraged to attend the Respondent briefing on Monday, 25 May 2026. The session is an opportunity for suppliers to be briefed on the requirement and ask questions of the Ministry team about any matter related to this sourcing process.
