Stab Resistant Body Armour RFP

The Department of Corrections (the 'Department') wishes to select a preferred supplier to provide Stab Resistant Body Armour (SRBA).

It is intended that this RFP will result in the selection of a preferred supplier for the provision of quality body armour components and accessories, collectively these make up the SRBA system.

In addition, the Department seeks to establish an efficient, cost-effective, and dynamic rollout process, as well as ongoing SRBA support services.

This supply opportunity is for a proposed contract term of up to 10 years, with consistent throughput volumes as new recruits join the Department and existing SRBA is replaced at the end of its service life.

- RFP close date for written submissions 12noon 10 September 2025
- Samples delivery window 7 - 9 October 2025
- Short-listed Respondents presentations (in Wellington) 11 - 13 November 2025
- Short-listed Respondents samples due 21 - 23 January 2026
