Stratford District Council (SDC) has undertaken a significant commitment within its Long-Term Plan to enhance the efficiency and environmental responsibility of its water treatment operations. The key challenge is managing treated water overflows from the existing reservoirs at the Stratford water treatment plant. Currently, these overflows discharge into separate chambers, posing environmental risks and operational inefficiencies. To address this issue, SDC has allocated funding for the design and installation of a reservoir overflow system. The goal is to direct treated water overflows to the adjacent backwash pond, ensuring proper water management, compliance with regulations, and environmental stewardship
