Currently diesel Utes are used in KiwiRail’s sites/depots to travel multiple short stop start journeys around the yards at a time to perform their duties over the course of a day.
Due to the nature of the operational requirements, KiwiRail see an opportunity to align these parts of the operation to sustainability pathways and the reduction of emissions by adopting the use of fully electric eUTV vehicles.
