Tuakau Forest Harvest Management

This RFP relates to the procurement of the Watercare Tuakau Forest harvesting management services. The key outcomes that we want to achieve are contracting one management company to supply all the required services for forest harvesting.
Watercare is seeking to appoint a company who specialises in harvesting operations to act as Watercare’s agent to oversee and manage the harvesting and sale of the mature tree crops within the Tuakau water treatment plant’s pine plantation. The agent will be responsible for all aspects of the management of the forest harvesting operations, including the appointment and management of all subcontractors to carry out all works related to the harvesting, the negotiation of the sale of the harvest yield and transportation of the harvest yield, management of all Health & Safety requirements, and all requirements requested by and reporting to the Watercare representative. As a result of a successful outcome of the Tuakau forest harvesting management the agent may be appointed as the Watercare agent for any further future forest harvesting management works required by Watercare.
