Twizel Fire Station

We wish to engage a construction supplier to carry out works at the Twizel Fire Station to complete a half-life refurbishment and extend the fire station.

The proposed refurbishment, includes:
• Half-life refurbishment with an additional 103m2 added to the footprint, allowing for remodelling, and establishing ablutions, decontamination, PPE storage and workspaces.
• The problematic low-pitched roof re-pitched.
• Distribution board replaced and relocated, along with the building to be rewired.
• All appliance bay doors replaced with IL4 compliant doors along with RHS structure to accommodate and the building strengthened to ≥ 34% NBS IL4.

Construction works will be staged so the station can remain operational.

A site visit will be preferred by the prospective suppliers to inspect the works required to accurately complete their response. This is scheduled for 20th February with the time to be confirmed.
