Whakatāne District Council (Council) would like to commission a Project Delivery Team to design the replacement of the Mimiha Stream Bridge on Ruatāhuna Road, Te Urewera.
Ruatāhuna Road is a Special Purpose Road (SPR) administered by Council as the Road Controlling Authority (RCA). Council is developing the Mimiha Stream bridge replacement project (the Project) in partnership with Ngai Tūhoe through the Manawarū Tribal Authority (Manawarū Tribal).
The collaboration between designer, construction contractor, Ngāi Tūhoe, Manawarū Tribal and Council is key to the success of this project. To facilitate this, Council is seeking early contractor involvement in the design process. Therefore, a Registration of Interest (ROI) is invited from Project Delivery Teams consisting of a Consultant Designer and a Contractor.
This ROI is the first step of a two-phase procurement process. In this ROI, Council proposes to identify 2-3 suppliers who will be shortlisted for the phase 2 – Request for Tender (RFT) process for the supply of Options Report, Concept, and Detailed Design services.
