Waihi Beach WWTP Upgrade - Inlet Works

This procurement relates to evaluating and identifying a suitable candidate for the design and supply of the inlet works equipment (screening and grit removal), to be incorporated within the Waihī Beach WWTP upgrade.

The proprietary inlet works equipment is critical for the performance of the treatment plant and has key specifications that require specialist design inputs that are best provided by the suppliers to suit their proprietary designs and equipment. The identification and nomination of equipment upfront allows the supplier solution to be adopted within the overall plant design.

The inlet works is expected to be installed as a self-contained solution above ground adjacent to the existing equalisation pond. Raw sewage will be entering the inlet works from the pressurised Waihi Beach sewer network. Effluent from the inlet works will be discharged within the equalisation pond from which it will proceed through the rest of the process train.
