This procurement relates to evaluating and identifying a suitable candidate for the design and supply of the Sludge dewatering works equipment to be incorporated within the Waihī Beach WWTP upgrade.
The proprietary dewatering plant equipment is critical for the operations and performance of the treatment plant and has key specifications that require specialist design inputs that are best provided by the suppliers to suit their proprietary designs and equipment. The identification and nomination of equipment upfront allows the supplier solution to be adopted within the overall plant design.
The dewatering equipment is designed to reduce moisture content of the incoming waste activated sludge (WAS), which is sourced from the Sequence Batch Reactor (SBR) to the sludge day tank. The WAS stored in the sludge day tank will be pumped through the dewatering system and the dewatered cake is conveyed to storage containers for offsite disposal. The complete dewatering equipment and conveyance system is to be installed adjacent to the entrance gate of the treatment plant.
