Waikato District Council District Wide Waste Services

This procurement consolidates the waste and recycling collection service into a single district wide waste collection services contract, excluding the Raglan area. At the same time, we are seeking providers for the processing of recyclables and to operate our council owned facilities to enable contractors to Proposal for the scope of works that best matches the services they can offer. Three contracts are included in this Proposal as follows:
Contract 1: Collection Services – 10 year term - kerbside collection of waste and recycling from service entitled premises, including monthly pop-up recycling locations.
Contract 2: Recyclables Processing - 10 year term - processing and sale of recyclables collected and delivered to the Recyclables Processing Facility by the Collection Services Contractor.
Contract 3: Facility Operations – 3 year term (+1 +1) - operation of the two existing transfer stations (Huntly and Te Kauwhata) and the new North Waikato Resource Recovery Centre

The key objective of this procurement is to engage a supplier or suppliers that will deliver an optimal service that provides value for money for the community.
