Waikeria Construction Project (Phase Two Expansion) Main Contractor

The Department of Corrections | Ara Poutama Aotearoa invites suitably qualified and experienced Main Contractors to register their interest in delivering the Waikeria Construction Project (Phase Two Expansion).

The preferred full scope comprises three new accommodation buildings and associated infrastructure, providing up to 948 physical beds. The Project is proposed to be delivered under a traditional build-only model using an NZS 3910:2023 construction contract.

This ROI is the first stage of a two-stage procurement process and will be used to identify and shortlist Main Contractors with the demonstrated experience, capability, capacity and financial resilience required to successfully deliver a project of this scale and complexity. Shortlisted Respondents will be invited to participate in a closed RFP process.

Interested Main Contractors are advised that a site briefing is proposed for Thursday 27th August and registration details are provided in the ROI documents.
