Westlake Boys High School - Music & Drama Block Extension

The Existing Westlake Boys High School Music and Drama Block is operating at capacity with a growing school roll.
The works involve a new Music and Drama block extension which effectively doubles the existing capacity. Associated with this extension, there is also the creation of four new teaching classrooms in the basement area, along with a new space to be allocated for the school uniform shop.
The new block is connected, with a link bridge located on a newly formed corridor to the existing Music and Drama block, along with associated minor reconfiguration of the existing music rehearsal space, Head of Department office and instrument storage facilities.
The new building is set over 2 levels areas as follows:
• Basement classrooms 290m2
• Ground Floor Extension 370m2
• Breezeway link 57m2
• Existing building footprint 503m2
• Existing Lobby adjacent to auditorium 62m2
• Phasing proposed is as follows:
o Site establishment Christmas break 2024/2025
o New Extension construction During 2025
o Link bridge completion and Existing building works Christmas break 2025/2026
