Whangārei Urban Bus Services – CityLink, SchoolLink & Hikurangi Link

Northland Regional Council (NRC) invites tenders for the provision of public transport services in Whangārei.

This contract includes the CityLink urban bus network, SchoolLink services, and the Hikurangi Link, commencing 1 October 2027 for a nine-year term.

The tender will seek a supplier capable of delivering safe, reliable, and accessible services using high-quality, low-emission vehicles (for CityLink).

NRC is seeking a supplier to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality services, including the operation of low-emission vehicles for the CityLink network, and to work in partnership with Council to support an efficient and sustainable public transport system.
