The zero-trust network refresh project is Wellington City Council’s next investment in its ICT network and security.
Council plans to implement an IT network (for users and applications) which is secured and managed using zero-trust principles and an Operational Technology (OT) network for devices that require alternative security arrangements. These networks will share common physical infrastructure and site connectivity, minimising ownership costs. The common physical infrastructure will be Fortinet-based and the project will replace the subset of WCC’s network which is currently Meraki-based.
To help deliver this, Council seeks a delivery partner to provide (within the scope of this RFP):
1. A zero-trust application, appliances and / or services to implement and manage zero-trust principles and controls across the IT network.
2. Design, configuration and assurance services from the solution supplier to support implementation of the zero-trust network by WCC’s internal ICT infrastructure and cyber security team.
3. Supplier training services for the ICT infrastructure and cyber security team.
4. On-going level 3 support services
